Hi, I'm Lauren
Human first, therapist second. I built this practice to be the safe space I knew was missing.

Why this practice exists
I started my practice with one goal, building a genuinely safe space for marginalized communities. Too many people spend therapy translating themselves, educating their therapist about their identity or masking to feel acceptable. That is exhausting, and it is the opposite of healing.
My job is not to fix you, because you are not broken.
My job is to sit with you as a real person, hold space for what you have carried and gently support you in challenging the patterns that no longer serve you. I keep things professional and grounded, and I keep them human. The difference is feeling like a person in the room rather than a case file.
How I work
We follow what your mind and body actually need, not a rigid protocol. Some weeks that looks like skills and structure. Other weeks it looks like slowing down and listening to what your nervous system is telling you. I draw from:
Who I work with
I work with adults across Washington, virtually. Many of my clients hold marginalized identities, and all of them are people who want to understand themselves more deeply, have their experiences validated and do brave, gentle work. If that sounds like you, you are welcome here.
What I believe
Safety first
Nothing happens before trust.
Validation is not a technique
Your experiences are real, and being believed matters.
Direct, with care
I will be honest with you, always gently.
Your pace wins
We move as fast as feels safe, never faster.
